Sabrina Carpenter and Stevie Nicks delivered a powerful and memorable performance inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art during the annual fundraising event marking a standout moment at the 2026 Met Gala. The set opened with Carpenter, who made a striking wardrobe change into a 2018 Versace Tribute dress featuring Andy Warhol portraits of Marilyn Monroe and James Dean. Escorted onto the stage by four tuxedo-clad performers, she launched into her hit single “Espresso,” immediately energising the room.
Carpenter continued her set with “House Tour” and “Please, Please, Please,” drawing enthusiastic reactions from attendees, including visible engagement from guests throughout the Temple of Dendur.
Following her performance, Stevie Nicks took the stage, captivating the audience with renditions of Fleetwood Mac’s “Gypsy” and her solo classic “Edge of Seventeen.” Nicks, who changed into a Morgane Le Fay dress paired with a Margi Kent jacket, delivered a commanding performance that resonated across the historic space.
The evening reached its peak when Nicks invited Carpenter back to the stage in the museum’s Egyptian wing for a duet, creating a rare cross-generational collaboration that stood out as one of the night’s defining moments.
